Abstract

We investigated various problems involved when it takes long for physically-challenged people to get to some place and collected much information helpful in the realization of a successive barrier-free system. As a result various problems has come to light. People with defective eyesight point out the lack of fences to prevent them from falling a platform. People with defective hearing point out the lack of signs appealing visually to them in special expresses. People with their defective upper limbs and people with their defective internal organs point out the presence of a lot of stairs between a wicket and a platform in a railway station. People with their defective legs and people with their defective trunk point out the presence of much space between a car and a platform in a railway station. And intellectually-challenged people point out the lack of information about trains at a wicket.
