Description

Rock-forming zircon was dated on the granitoids from the central Sanin Belt by SHRIMP. The granitoids hosting molybdenite-quartz veins have 65.3 and 64.2 Ma. Daito granodiorite batholith, which has been considered older than the nearby host granitoids of molybdenites by the K-Ar ages, is now determined to have a younger age of 56.6 Ma. Another batholith of biotite pink-granite in the east of the studied area has 59.7 Ma, implying that fine-grained granitoids hosting molybdenite-quartz veins were formed prior to the main batholithic intrusions.
