Abstract

The UI design trend has shifted from Skeumorphic design to Flat design, removing any stylistic choices that give the illusion of three-dimensions (such as drop shadows, gradients, or textures). It can be forecast that the common design tone that is flat design will lead to the "Modularization of visual design of UI" and this combined with the fact that Visual design can be implemented by code alone will lead to Visual design field being completely covered by standard libraries, a feat considered extremely difficult at the moment. In the near future, the task of Visual design will become part of the software developer's workflow. In this situation, where the specialty of the designer whose job is to draw is swaying, what exactly is "the job of a designers?" In this thesis, we will define the new specialty of designer as the act of designing and the wisdom necessary to undertake this act. These are based on the work experiences of the author.
