Abstract
Adolescence is the process by which young people leave the old world they used to live in and a new world is opened up for them. The experience they have in the border between the two worlds is very important for them, and they become aware that a very different world exists within themselves. During the therapeutic process, and especially in the dreams, the client, who suffered from autodysomophobia, made various attempts to relate to, and thus attempting to transcend, the border area. In his dreams, female and hermaphroditic images played important roles in the effort to transcend the border. These dream figures are considered to represent the work of the soul against the ego of the client, to prevent the separation of the different world, which is symbolized as body order, and to resurrect the wholeness of the psyche of the client. This work of the soul enabled the client to transcend himself and to move on the next world.
