Abstract
Shozui in Tokushima is the place where there was an administrative office settled by Hosokawa family who was the governor of Awa in the latter half of the Muromachi period(1336-1573).Miyoshi family had the base in the era of civil strife. "The Remains of Shozui castle” is a large-scale house in the Age of Civil Wars. Its excavation began in 1994. In 1999, from a certain area of the castle, the building which is thought to be used as the meeting place in the north side and the karesansui garden was found by the survey. The garden being flat garden, express karesansui. Japanese garden whose stones were made by 12 pieces.<br>I consider, in this paper the characteristic and the background e of this designed garden.
