Cupro-Nickel alloys as condenser tube material are coming into use for high-temperature and high-pressure power plants and for marine engines owing to their high resistance to sea water and acids, especially to their stability at high temperature. Experiments about their erosion and corrosion resistance ware tried on the 10%, 20% and 30% Cupro-Nickel tubes of American, English, Canadian and German made and of home-made. From these testing results it is concluded that Cupro-Nickel alloys are not always superior to aluminium-brass in erosion resistance, but their excellent mechanical and physical properties at high-temperature will be utilized in high-temperature high-pressure marine engines and others.
