Abstract

At Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, corporate-wide engineering seminars and workshops, supportive to key technologies, have been organized and continually upgraded utilizing two types of educational system: education using satellite communications and center based education.<BR>In this paper, the attendees' evaluations on each type of education are put together, by a comparative analysis of annual questionnaire to all the attendees. Consequently, the next points will be found out, and suggest effective use of both types:<BR>1) They have both produced satisfactory results for their own characteristics.<BR>2) Teaching materials with visual images are important.<BR>3) Well-constructed and best-fit textbook, and bidirectional communications are the must for education using satellite communications.<BR>4) Exercise, practical training, and group discussion are requested for center based education.
