Abstract
An approach to on-line adjustment of the sampling interval of a fuzzy controller is proposed. If the output of the system is maintained around the set value, the sampling interval of the measurement is extended. On the other hand, if the output is far from the desired value, the interval is shortened automatically.<BR>To evaluate the ability of the algorithm, this method is applied to the control of blood pressure in rats. The result shows successful performance of the controller, and the sampling interval is adjusted on-line as expected.
