Characteristics of pressure drop in countercurrent gas-liquid operation on four different types of “HONEYCERAPACK” (6-FACE-FORM 40_??_, 6-FACE-FORM 50_??_, 6-FACE-FORM 60_??_, and 14-FACE-FORM 50_??_), which were recently developed, are observed, and the data obtained are correlated by a modified Leva's equation, <BR>ΔP/Z=agc·103600βL/ρL {(3600G) 2/ρG} (η/η0)γfor (1≤η/η0≤10) <BR>where η/η0 denotes a ratio of viscosity of liquid to water. Furthermore, for η/η0>10 the channeling phenomena on gas and liquid are observed for all packings.
