Fast-response Multi-stable Liquid Crystal Display(FMLCD) is well suited for e-Book. FMLCD offers a paper-like high contrast static image without any flicker. It does not require any energy to maintain a display image, thereby significantly reducing power consumption. A single AAA battery can change up to 100K pages. We have developed a prototype of e-book by using FMLCD. The sunlight readable FMLCD shows high-resolution, wide-viewing angle, multi-gray scale memory of image without any parallax. Fast addressing speed is another unique feature of FMLCD. The principle of FMLCD and its latest development will be reported.
