Abstract
Construction method and performance evaluation of high rate(0, G/I)codes are studied. First, construction method of a 32/33(0, 10/10)code is described and an extended 64/65(0, 20)code is designed by using this 32/33(0, 10/10)code. Then, the bit error rate(BER) performance of these coded EPR4ML, E^2PR4ML and ME^2PR4ML systems and the required SNR to achive a BER of 10^<-4> are obtained by computer simulation and compared to those for the conventional 16/17(0, 6/6)code. The results show that both of the 32/33(0, 10/10)code and 64/65(0, 20)code provide the better performance than the 16/17(0, 6/6)code.
