The Standard Object Color Spectra database for color reproduction evaluation (SOCS) was developed and is introduced in this paper. It has been published in a Japanese Industrial Standard Technical Report (JIS-TR) and will be published in a International Standard Organization Technical Report (ISO-TR). The total number of colors in SOCS is up to 49672, and divided into eight categories. SOCS Viewer, as a visualization software developed for SOCS has also been developed and described in this paper. SOCS Viewer provides six fundamental functions, as a results, makes color analysis intuitively.
