Abstract
A prototype of computer aided drug design using virtual reality technologies is introduced. The essence of our study is to make touchable the electrostatic potential field surrounding protein molecules using PHANToM^<TM> a most popular haptics device. Several viatual probes, which are representatives of parts to drug molecules, are prepared and linked to the PHANToM^<TM>. Users are available to scan the protein molecules by the proves with feeling electrostatic force between them.
