Abstract

In this paper, we have proposed the analytical method that can treat edge conditions in the FDTD analysis for the TE mode, where the edge is located at the center of cell. As only two nodes neighboring the edge are used in these formulations, the method is simple and suitable to the FDTD procedure. As an example, the method was applied to the analysis of microstrip antennas.
