Abstract

We proposed the optical transmission method utilizing the optical spectrum separation technique for the optical wireless access. In this paper, the fluctuation of the millimeter wave(MW)signal due to the chromatic dispersion and the bits error rate(BER)characteristics of the MW signal and the baseband digital data(BB)are reported in long distance transmission. By suppressing the optical sideband signal, the fluctuation of less than 7dB in the MW was obtained. As a result, optical power margin of 12dB for the MW signal and of 24dB the BB were achieved at the BER of 10^<-12>respectively.
