Description

We have been studying broadcasting systems in the millimeter-waves, which are suitable for large capacity transmission. The approaches to transmitting TV program materials, terrestrial broadcasting and satellite broadcasting are described. The terrestrial broadcasting systems in the millimeter-waves are proposed to provide various services including interactive services and mobile communications. The results of a computer simulation and propagation experiments are described, and several important subjects for study are discussed to realize the new broadcasting systems.
