Abstract
There are two techniques which realize wide dynamic range camera. One technique is to compose the image of exposure time to be different. One more technique is to make opto-electronic conversion part of the image pickup device have a logarithm character. Wide dynamic range camera developed this time uses the former's technique. It is characteristic with this technique that to be variable dynamic range by the object image dynamically. Furthermore, this technique realized with CCD sensor this time was applied to CMOS sensor. And the part of the dynamic range expansion function was composed of more than one PLD with the trial production camera last time. But, the number of IC's could be reduced by developing Gate Array this time. High density mounting technology was used with the change to Gate Array from PLD, and last wide dynamic range camera realized miniaturization.
