Abstract

Seventy-three adults observed the video movie which recorded the real world for ten minutes. We had intentionally involved fourteen undesirable settings (too much disparity, inconsistent matching between both eyes, unnatural speed, etc) in the movie. All participants observed both of the undesirable (modified) movie (3D condition) and the original (non-modified) 3D movie in random order. To obtain observers' subjective evaluation for the comfortability of movie, we employed two measures: Simulator sickness questionnaire (SSQ) before and after observation and comfort level estimation at every one minutes during observation. To measured their physiological changing, we measured participants' electrocardiogram (ECG) and calculated the status of autonomic nerve system during observation. Our results showed that subjective scores was significantly higher when participants observed undesirable 3D movie.
