Abstract
To research on the ability of a cheap device, Kinect, we try to discriminate people who are walking. We defined the movement of walking, and made feature vectors using information of 5 persons from Kinect. These feature vectors show each movements of walking. Then we made a feature space using Principle Component Analysis, and discriminated test patterns using centers and variances of each classes on the feature space. As a result, it was found that Kinect could discriminate 5 persons who are walking in about 80 percent. Then we considered the result and the way to study.
