抄録

Four esterase A members (Ease A2-A5), separated by isoelectric focusing, have been evaluated in artificial hatchings of silkworm diapause eggs.<br>Acid treatment and long chilling for breaking diapause induced changes in enzyme activity of each esterase A member. The changes were marked about 20hr and 30 days after treatments respectively, which were preparation for morphogenetical resumption, The two treatments, however, did not affect equally on every esterase A members, but distinctively to each member. A similarity in both treatments was found in the changing ratios to control ones. The ratios were about 3.2, 4.7, 2.3 and 0.89 for Ease A2, A3, A4 and A5 respectively.<br>This similarity would indicate that the HCl stimulates the same processes as those processes stimulated by low temperature.
