Description
In this article, a method is proposed to generate an icon corresponding to a given music which evokes an atmosphere of the music for easy understanding and/or selection of the music's category. The music is analyzed in Frequency domain to determine dominant pitch, sound volume, and proportion of low/high frequency components. The icon is generated so that these values are depicted on the vertical axis while playing time-line is adopted for horizontal axis. Several examples show that these icons feature characteristics of music.
