Description

The Sexual maturation and the oviposition of the yellow-spotted longicorn beetle, Psacothea hilaris PASCOE were studied in relation to adult feeding. The studies have been carried out mainly under at 25°C, for 30 days after emergence.<br>The adult feeding activity were excellent for 10 days emergence, that is preoviposition period, through the adult stage. The adult feeding activities was recognized to concern the increase of body weight, ovarian development, copulation and eggs laying.<br>The amount of the adult feeding was significantlly correlated to the body size of adult insects and the number of eggs produced per beetle.
