Abstract

We examined attention control effect of visual stimulus presentation to the peripheral vision with small LED arrays with purpose of supporting human attention behavior such as automobile driving. In experiments a target stimulus was displayed on the front screen at a certain interval while a subject was operate a driving simulator, and the subject responds with a button when he/she detected the target. Experimental results show that response rates became higher and response speed became faster when subject has understood the relation between the flow directions of presented visual stimuli and displayed target positions. These results suggest the attention control effect of the presented flow stimuli to peripheral vision displayed with LED arrays.
