Description

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications released the 8K Super Hi-Vision (8K) broadcasting roadmap last year, which calls for the goals of 4K/8K BS test broadcasting in 2016, start of 4K/8K broadcasting to the public by 2018. Towards the realization of 8K broadcasting, we have been studying the advanced CAS (Conditional Access System) technology for secure content protection and flexible access control. In this report, we describe the development of scramble system capable of real-time processing of 8K signals transmitted over MMT (MPEG Media Transport). In addition, we discuss about key delivery problem in the case of hybrid delivery of 8K contents using both broadcasting and broadband.
