Abstract
A bandwidth enhancement technique for microstrip antennas using coaxial structure is presented. The proposed method is to extend the outer conductor and the inside the dielectric substrate of a SMA connector, and a flange is mounted on the top of the extended outer conductor. The bandwidth is improved by applying this method. The proposed antenna has successfully achieved a simulated S11 bandwidth of 37%. This method can be applied for broadband designs of circularly polarized microstrip antenna using AG structure.
