Abstract

The hot alcohol soluble sugars in the flower, the stem and the leaf of R, ternatus var. glaber were investigated and the following results were obtained.<br> 1. Nine substances were found in the flower and stem and eight in the leaf as the alkaline silver nitrate positive substances on the paper chromatogram, among which the amount of D-glucose, D-fructose sucrose and acylated glucose were comparatively large in each organ.<br> 2. It was considered that the acylated glucose contained formic acid, glucose and an unknown acid.
