Description

(1) 担子菌類に属するSiereum fasciatumによりReichstein's Compound S (I)は酸化およびそれに続く還元を受ける.すなわち(I)は本菌により酸化されてΔ1-Compound S (II)に変化し, (II)はこんどは還元されて17α:20β:21-trihydroxypregna-1:4-dien-3-one (III)に変化する.<br> (2) 本菌による脱水素反応および水素添加反応は共軛していない.<br> (3) 本菌を17α-methyltestosterone (VI)に作用させるとΔ1-methyltestosterone (VII)が生成する.
