Abstract

In the lossless coding scheme which was developed by the authors for RGB 4:4:4 format video, structures of linear predictors used for the respective color signals were different from each other. Therefore, it was difficult to determine the appropriate number of the predictors as well as arrangement of reference pels for each color signal in advance. This paper describes a method to adapt these conditions through iterative procedures of predictor design carried out in each frame.
