A method is proposed to prepare thin porous silica membrane which can be considered relatively stable against acids. The separation performance of this membrane for some organic acids (acetic acid, propionic acid, acrylic acid)/water mixtures has been studied experimentally by the pervaporation method and quite large fluxes of water and high separation factors have been achieved
