Abstract
Idling stop system and charging control system have been established widely as an efficient measure to improve fuel efficiency for conventional powertrain vehicles. The effect of charging control system is higher at lower SOC (State Of Charge) of the lead acid battery. However, if Idling stop system works at the same time, SOC becomes lower level and makes it difficult to maintain two functions. The purpose of this study is to satisfy both functions by appropriate SOC control based on driving environment and to improve fuel efficiency.
