抄録

The IDI 2-Stroke Cycle CI engine with DME was proposed and, to prevent the leakage of DME, the electrical controlled low-pressure injection system for gasoline engine was applied. The ignition delay could be shorted by the effect of sub-chamber so that the ignition timing could be accurately controlled by the injection timing. However a lot of THC was emitted and thermal efficiency worsened on high load region. Therefore, in this study, the engine performance was investigated for the influence of the engine speed and sub-chamber volume. The ignition timing on sub-chamber was earlier than on main-chamber when the injection timing was advanced. As ratio of sub-chamber volume was increased, on high load condition, high brake thermal efficiency and low THC emission could be achieved because a lot of air was included in sub-chamber. The engine speed 2000min-1 gave high brake thermal efficiency because charging efficiency was improved.
