Abstract

This paper aims to propose the evaluation method of the Strength of Road against natural disasters. Firstly, the Strength of Road is defined as the probability of encounter of traffic suspension due to natural disaster. And then the method to measure the Strength of Road by synthesizing the existing indices is shown. Lastly, the appropriateness and usefulness of the proposed method is examined through the application to actual road in Fukui.
