Description

Though it is said that transportation behaviors of urban residents are spreading out from its metropolitan area, there is no investigations to show the real situation. This study aims to clarify the transition of spreading out transportation behaviors by urban residents from statistical point of view. 54 cities that were surveyed by National Person Trip Survey are adopted for study area The result shows the possibility that metropolitan boundary are becoming slight, and the trip rate to Tokyo area is becoming not so small from local area, such as from Sendai.
