Abstract

 Hump has made various researches as a traffic calming measure in community road. So, review of the effectiveness of humps under various road conditions will be necessary in future so that humps spreads as a traffic safety measure. In this research, authors verified the effect by humps to traffic accident occurred on the intersection of a arterial road and a community road focusing on area characteristic defined Neighborhood-DNA through the experiment at Kawaguchi City in 2008. As a result, by humps, inhibition of speed in front of the intersection, and effective of heads-up to traverse was revealed.
