<p>Concerning intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) international consensus guidelines 2012 for management of IPMN and MCN of the pancreas were published from international pancreas association, European experts consensus statement from European study group on cystic tumours of the pancreas, and American gastroenterology association institute guideline on the diagnosis and management of asymptomatic neoplastic pancreatic cysts from American Gastroenterological Association, respectively. They were different from view of authors' specialities, creation methods, objects, clinical questions, recommendations and so on. Meta-analyses have been published regarding clinical problems of IPMN and some answers have been reported. In this communication, clinical problems of IPMN were overviewed by the comparisons of the three guidelines and the review of the meta-analyses.</p>
