Abstract
This paper explores the ways of generating/discussing new business model ideas to bring service innovation. First, this paper compares the mechanism of service innovation with that of manufacturing. Then, the six patterns of business model for service business are analyzed. Finally, five techniques for generating business model for service business are proposed. These techniques are derived from advanced business cases and related business method patents.
