Description
<p>The Hokuriku Shinkansen line is driven by an AC traction system. A special feature of this line is its division into 50- and 60-Hz power frequency sections. In the linking section where the two different frequencies of the AC feeding system meet, the induced current causes electromagnetic interference with ATC.</p><p>Therefore, the traction circuit and the composition of the track circuits were arranged to be immune to this interference, and a predictive calculation of the induced current for ATC was carried out. The calculation results indicated the possibility that the induced current exceeds the allowable value. However, the electromagnetic screening effect of the conductors in the structures was not accounted for in the calculation.</p><p>To enable accurate predictions of the induced current for ATC, we improve the predictive calculation of the induction by suggesting a method for modeling structures.</p>
