Abstract
We developed a set of SSR markers for the identification of an adzuki cultivar "Noto dainagon" which is cultured commercially in the Noto peninsula. SSR length polymorphism of five SSR markers (i.e. CEDG116, CEDG114, CEDG022, CEDG090 and CEDG150) could be easily clarified by agarose gel electrophoresis method. The result of classification test indicated that "Noto dainagon" could be identified from other Japanese 13 cultivars by using CEDG116, CEDG114 and CEDG022. In addition, the five developed markers also identified 8 varieties of adzuki in 13 cultivars.
