Description
Dinoprost was injected intramuscularly in 29 cows with prolonged gestation for 7 days or over due date at dosese of 12mg, 20mg, 30mg or 35mg. Parturition was induced in all the cases within 72h after the treatment, and average interval was 31.5±10.0h. The incidence of retained placenta following the induced calving was 17.2%. Three other cows with fetal mummification were also treated with 30mg dinoprost, and mummified fetuses were expelled in all the cases within 4 days after treatment.
