Abstract

In this study 10μg/ml of nalidixic acid (NAD) was used singly, as well as a combination of 5μg/ml of NAD and 0.1% sodium deoxycholate or 1/100, 000 brilliant green dilution. Sodium deoxycolate and brilliant green were employed as inhibitors of aerobic Gram-positive bacteria.<BR>There were differences in sensitivity to these agents among the strains of venereal type examined. The recovery rates were about 70 % or less of that determined with control medium. Two strains were inhibited on combined medium. These media must be examined in future for availability for isolation from natural outbreaks.
