抄録

The results of this study demonstrated that a water temperature range of 10 to 13°C is suitable for the rearing of larvae and juveniles of the fourspine sculpin Cottus kazika. This may explain a wider distribution of the fish in the rivers of the Japan Sea coast of Japan (surface seawater temperature ranging from 10 to 13°C during the early developmental period of the fish) than in the rivers of the Pacific coast of Japan (higher than 14°C in some areas).
