Abstract

The angle of flexion of a flexible bronchofiberscope is sharp and 160 degrees, before inserting the forceps for lung biopsy, but to perform transbronchial lung biopsy toward the peripheral lesions of both upper lobes is sometimes difficult. Because after inserting the forceps, the angle is 140 degrees, and to put the forceps into the bronchus, especially B'a, b, or B^<1+2>a, b, c tends to be impossible. The angle of flexion of a flexible catheter for bronchograpy is 160 degrees even after inserting the same forceps. It is useful in clinical cases for transbronchial lung biopsy toward the peripheral lesions of both upper lobes.
