<p>PVP (photoselective vaporization of the prostate) for benign prostate enlargement is a revolutionary laser surgery that achieves remarkably low invasiveness while having the same efficacy as TURP. However, in large prostate cases, there is a disadvantage that the residual adenoma is larger as compared with enucleation surgery. Vap-resection method using TURP is a new method to overcome this drawback. This method is expected to further improve long-term outcome in large prostate cases while ensuring the safety, which is a feature of PVP.</p>
