Description

We have designed and synthesized a novel near-infrared (NIR) photoactivating probe, designated by ICG-Lipo, in which an indocyanine green (ICG) fluorophore is covalently tagged with alkyl chains or a phospholipid moiety to incorporate into liposome bilayers. Our results indicate that ICG-Lipo is a useful NIR-fluorescence probe for noninvasive in vivo bioimaging, especially for the sentinel lymph node and for photodynamic thermal therapy.
