Abstract

Compensatory eye movements induced by linear accelerations were recorded in six rabbits electronystagmographically. Sinusoidal accelerations (linear oscillationswing) in the frequency range between 0.3 and 1.5 Hz were applied in each animal. By stimulation at the frequency of 0.5 Hz and with the amplitude of 25 cm, compensatory eye movements were apparent in all trials. It might be concluded by this study that the phase lag increased at the range of about 90°and the gain decreased at the slope of 20-40 dB/dc over the range examined.
