Description
Meijiadayuan is commercial complex which was built by Huachao, who are immigrated to United State, in 1920's. Meijiadayuan was nominated as world heritage site as same as neighboring Kaiping city's historical site, but the recognition for Meijiadayuan was deferred. As a result, the site was almost abandoned.<br> This study is to clarify the following 4 points about Meijiadayuan,<br> 1) Its developing process from 19th century.<br> 2) Damaging process of the historical building.<br> 3) Relationship between the damaging process and the present living style<br> 4) Considering the above 1) to 3), propose the method to preserve the historical site.
