As a result of the Ako-mcident in 1701, the Ako Castle was confiscated by the Edo Bakuju. On behalf of the Edo Bakuju, Tatsuno-Han and Ashimori-Han, as a Jujoshi, played an important role for absorbing the castle town. This paper clarified the conceptual tissue of the feudalistic town of Ako, by analyzing the procedure and the course of the ceremonial parade which was organized by the both Han. This ceremonial parade is considered to have been understood as a military activity of the Edo-BakuJu. According to the analysis of this parade in detail, the Edo Bakuju regarded the civilian town as the most important town-district for the castle town.
