説明

A 54 year old man was pointed out to have an egg shell shaped mass with marginal calcification on a plain X-p. His medical history included diabetes mellitus for which he had been taking oral agent. He had never noticed any GI-symptoms and had no history of abdominal trauma. Physical examination revealed no abnormality. Various examinations revealed the mass to be a common hepatic artery aneurysm. Compression and deviation of the pancreatic duct at the pancreas head by the mass and dilatation and irregularity of the proximal main pancreatic duct at body and tail were observed on ERCP. Partial aneurysmectomy and hepatic artery ligation were performed. The changes of the pancreatic duct seemed slightly recovered after surgery.<BR>Hepatic artery aneurysms are rare, and 180 cases had been reported till '79 in Japan. Among these, common hepatic aneurysms are very rare and only 10 cases including the present case were reported on our survey.
