抄録

To elucidate the mechanism of coagulopathy in liver cirrhosis, the ternover rate of fibrinogen and the surface body count in patients with liver cirrhosis were assayed using radiolabeled fibrinogen.<BR>The life span of fibrinogen in the patients was shorter than that in the controls and could be lengthened by treatment with heparin. These results are compatible with the mechanism in consumption coagulopathy.<BR>In the surface body counting method, injected fibrinogen accumulated mainly in the spleen, with considerable splenomegaly, and the liver, suggesting that the main places of fibrinogen consumption were these organs.
