Description

Clinical study of interrelation between HDL-S and HDL cholesterol revealed that HDL cholesterol tended to show higher values when HDL-S were densely stained on polyacrylamide-gel disc-electrophoresis.<BR>HDL-S positive and high HDL cholesterol group was composed of cases of intrahepatic cholestasis including primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) and PBC-related condition, corresponding with the stage of low serum bilirubin level, low Lipoprotein X (LP-X) level and high biliary enzymes activities, and was considered as a reflection of a specific pathological condition and/or state.
